DELTA DELIVERS ONMold Damage & Environmental Testing
Does your property emanate a musty smell? Homes and buildings with this type of odor may be experiencing mold damage. Delta Disaster Services® of Greater Brazos Valley will assess your mold damage and then remove odors and eliminate the mold and/or mildew in your home or business immediately.
What is Mold?
Mold is a fungus. It grows on foods and plants, and it poses serious health consequences when found on the walls and floors of your home. Mold needs moisture and a good food source to thrive. Damp and wet surfaces are the perfect growth medium for mold. Homes with low airflow and dim lighting can also harbor mold spores that can be carried throughout your home.
If you detect mold in your home or business, don’t touch it. Touching mold spores could result in mold spreading through the property. Even mold spot the size of a postage stamp can hold up to 65 million spores, and the release of spores into the air can have toxic affects on your health, including allergies, which makes mold toxicity difficult to detect. Common symptoms from mold exposure include a runny nose, itchy throat, sneezing, wheezing, and coughing.
At Delta Disaster Services® of Greater Brazos Valley we use state-of-the-art mold detection technology to determine your property’s mold damage and provide the best solution to eradicate the damage and keep it out.

Let’s Talk About…
What is Asbestos?
Asbestos is a heat-resistant fiber silicate mineral that can be woven into fire-resistant materials for fire proofing use in construction projects and industries. For decades building contractors have used asbestos fibers to insulate ceilings and walls. Inhaling these minute particles can damage your lungs. These particles are so small they can remain in the air you are breathing for hours or even days.
It can take several years to notice any signs or symptoms of asbestos poisoning. Symptoms include: dry cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, tightness in chest, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). Other health issues that can be attributed to asbestos poisoning include: lung cancer, mesothelioma, asbestosis (hardening of the lungs), pulmonary hypertension, and damage to immune and digestive systems.
